DOG-ISOT WetLab and trauma course (HOT – Halle Ocular Trauma WetLab)

The DOG-ISOT WetLab and trauma course (HOT – Halle Ocular Trauma WetLab) will be held in Halle/Saale, UKH on three days: 29. – 31. 8. 2022. The DOG-ISOT WetLab and trauma course is an official WetLeb course of the DOG working group Traumatology and ISOT.

There will be a Dry Lab on 29th August 2022 and WetLabs 1, 2 and 3 on 30th – 31st August 2022. The course will take place according to the current hygiene regulations (keep your distance, care of hygiene, wear FFP2 masks).

The aim of the hands-on course is to practice primary wound care of the eyelids, lacrimal ducts and eyes in the WetLab in small groups. Internal bulb reconstruction is practised by means of irisplasty/replacement, artificial lens implantation, vitrectomy, keratoprosthetics and amniotic membrane transplantation.
